Celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III here in Petworth!

In collaboration with local partners, Petworth Town Council has organised an afternoon of fun and entertainment for the community to enjoy as part of the King’s Coronation celebrations.

On Sunday 7th May there will be a Celebration Eucharist at St Mary’s Church taking place at 10:30am.  Then from 3pm to 8pm in Market Square, there will be music, entertainment and fun to be had for all the family.  Music will be performed by the Town Band and by Willie Austin, and there will be face-painting and a fancy dress competition to enjoy.

The Gallopers carousel will be set up in Market Square and Clumsy Entertainment will be there with comedy routines to amuse the whole family.

So please come along, bring your picnic or purchase food from our food van, and join in the celebrations for this historic event.  Tea, coffee and cake will also be provided free of charge!

Our thanks to Councillors Neville Fox and Liz Singleton for their efforts organising this event for the people of Petworth, and to the working group who have supported their efforts over the last few weeks.  Thanks also to the volunteers who are helping to make sure this event takes place safely; without you it would not be possible and the Council is so appreciative of your support.
