Town Twinning

The historic market town of Petworth is twinned with Ranville in Normandy, France, and with San Quirico d’Orcia in Tuscany, Italy.

Charters were signed with Ranville on 9th June 1990 and with San Quirico d’Orcia on 26th September 1982 and although contact with both villages has sadly lapsed in recent years (in no small part due to Covid travel restrictions), a new working group has recently been established by Petworth Town Council to re-invigorate these relationships with our European neighbours.
